Phlebotomy Technicians work in hospitals, clinical laboratories, and medical offices to obtain quality blood samples and prepare those samples for laboratory testing. Students will learn anatomy of the circulatory system, medical terminology, quality assurance, HIPAA, and infection control, as well as receive hands-on training in venipuncture, capillary draws, heel sticks, and non-blood specimens. CPR certification and national certification exam and exam prep materials are included in tuition.
