This starter class is for those wishing to continue learning to paint with oils. We will learn to use oils and find out what materials are safe and healthy for you and the environment while learning to capture light, prepare our palette, and paint freely, just as the masters did. Instructor Denise Katz Howick will provide a list of good references and lessons to get you on your way to painting using the classic medium of oils. No sr waivers.

Notice

Please read:  Please bring a few canvases-any size is okay- a pad of pallet paper, 1 larger white oil tube, and at least 1 of each primary color to begin class (student-grade paint). Also, bring a small bottle of linseed or poppyseed oil, a student-grade oil brush set (natural brushes if possible), and an old T-shirt for rags.
