Every few years, water levels on Rodman Reservoir (on Ocklawaha River) are lowered to kill overgrown vegetation. This tour explores part of the "drawn down" reservoir and visits a couple of the 20+ springs it covers when full. We'll also discuss the barge canal "folly" and some of the history, archaeology, and geology that make this one of the Ocklawaha's most interesting sections.
